Jane Austen College is delighted to celebrate an outstanding set of GCSE results for the Class of 2026. 73% of pupils achieved grades 9 to 4 in both English and mathematics, while 61% secured the higher standard of grades 9 to 5 in both subjects.

These results reinforce Jane Austen College's reputation for academic excellence. Building on the strong outcomes of 2025, this year's achievements reflect the sustained progress, ambition and dedication of our pupils and staff over recent years.

Success extended well beyond English and mathematics, with particularly impressive outcomes in the sciences. 80% of pupils achieved grades 9 to 4 across two science qualifications, while 67% attained grades 9 to 5, demonstrating strong performance across a broad and balanced curriculum.

Principal Glen Allott said:

“We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupils. These excellent results are a reflection of their hard work, dedication and determination, together with the resilience they have shown throughout their studies.

We also recognise the invaluable contribution of our teachers and support staff, whose commitment, expertise, and encouragement have played a vital role in helping our pupils succeed. Their collective efforts have created a culture of excellence that all members of our school community can be proud of.

We congratulate our pupils on their achievements and look forward to welcoming many to Jane Austen College and Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form in September.”
