Outstanding GCSE Results: Continued Success for Jane Austen College
BackJane Austen College has been celebrating today with yet another year of outstanding GCSE results with 71% of grades 9-4 across Maths and English. The school is known for being one of Norwich’s top-performing secondary schools, producing students that achieve highly, with this year being no exception, with the school seeing six of its pupils achieving 7+ grades in all of their subjects.
Outside of Maths and English, the school’s success continues, whereby they have seen an impressive increase in the percentage of 9-5 grades compared to 2019 with sciences up from 51% to 61%, Maths up from 55% to 62%, and Art from 59% to 68%.

Alongside delivering a nationally acclaimed curriculum, Jane Austen College attributes a large portion of its success to its personalised pastoral support, mentoring and broad array of extra-curricular activities, all of which help to prepare students for their next steps.
Suhani Patni, who achieved eight grade 9’s and two grade 8’s and is looking forward to studying A-Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths as Jane Austen College’s partner sixth form – Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form said:
“I am really happy with my results; they are beyond my expectations.”
For many students, the results today have secured their place at Jane Austen College Sixth Form, with those that are keen to study STEM subjects taking advantage of the school’s unique partnership with the UK’s first specialist Maths and Science College, Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, one of the top sixth forms in the country. Under the Inspiration Trust, both have received recognition for their Ofsted “Outstanding” provision for those aged 16-19.
Jane Austen College will be hosting their annual Open Day on Wednesday 27th September from 5pm to 7pm, and Jane Austen College Sixth Form will be hosting an Open Evening on Thursday 12th October from 6pm to 8pm.
