Having been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted this summer, Jane Austen College has reason to celebrate again, as its sixth-from students scoop a superb set of A-Level results.

With a focus on humanities, English and the arts, 80% of students of the sixth form, based in the heart of Norwich, achieved A*-C grades and more than 45% of grades were graded A*-B, a fantastic achievement!

Glen Allott, who took over the reins last month said:

“A huge heartfelt congratulations to all of our sixth-formers! Jane Austen is an exceptional academy, due to the students and staff sharing a drive for success.

We know that for our students these fantastic results mark the start of very bright futures ahead, and we wish them all the very best for the next step in their academic journeys.”

Head of Sixth Form, Rachel Barker said:

“It’s a genuine privilege to get to work with such a committed group of students and colleagues, and an absolute delight to be here when they see the results of their hard work.

A special congratulations, also, to Kirshen Porter, who for the last year has done a superb job as acting head while I was on maternity leave.”

Jane Austen College works in partnership with Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, who has also seen exceptional A-Level results today, to provide its students with the highest-quality A-Level courses in STEM subjects. Students at both colleges benefit from the best teaching and academic support, with opportunities to get involved in a vast array of electives to build life-long skills.

Open day

Students interested in studying at this exceptional sixth form are invited to attend an open day on Tuesday 15 October from 5:30-8:30pm.
