Jane Austen College is celebrating another year of fantastic GCSE results, with 78% of students scooping 9-4 grades in both English and maths, a 7% increase on 2023.

Known for being one of Norwich’s top-performing secondaries, and recently rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the school once again demonstrated how it has earned its reputation for excellence. This year’s results marked a 13% increase in students achieving 9-5 grades for both English and maths, with the figure standing at 63%, up from 50% in 2023*.

Principal Glen Allott said:

“I’d like to congratulate our Year 11s on behalf of the whole college community. The results are a true reflection of the hard work of individuals, and this is reflected in some amazing standout performances this year. I would also like to thank our teachers, support staff and parents for their support in making this possible.”

Many students will continue their studies at the college’s own sixth form, with some with a particular interest in physics, chemistry and maths looking forward to continuing their studies at prestigious partner college, Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.
